Most of us are saying our prayers, but how do we get the right answer? I know that I ask a lot of prayers, and I see some pretty incredible results, but they often come out different than I would prefer.
I think the problem with saying our prayers are the answers often come painfully, or with outcomes different from what our expectations are. Chance are, you might think your prayers were overlooked.
I know that a lot of my answered prayers come with challenges that I did not anticipate. It makes me think that I need to be more definitive on what my expectations are for the outcome because I certainly don't need more challenges in my life, at least I don't think so, but God does have a sense of humor.
Answered Prayers – Saying our Prayers
Don't get me wrong; It is pleasing that God is answering my prayers. I just am hoping that if I think them out, they might work out in the way that I would expect, and not create problems that I did not anticipate.
Maybe my prayers are full of too much pride, or selfishness? Hopefully, as I grow with Christ, I will gain more insight into what He expects of me, and I'll be more humble in front of Him when I am seeking his blessings.
And, maybe it's time for another trip through the Bible to put life into perspective. I know it did wonders for me the first time through.
I feel like I am ready for deeper meaning into what the scripture says, and how to pray more purposefully in a way that blesses me to be a better follower of Christ.
Please, by all means, don't let this post discourage anyone from saying our prayers, as they are all good. I want to make sure that I'm more definitive in what I am asking. I suppose, even this might be a little bit selfish of me, but it is how I am feeling and thinking at the moment. I'm sure I'll feel differently about it in the future.
Thanks for reading, and have a blessed life.
