You Can Do It If You Believe You Can

Do you tell yourself, “You can do it if you believe you can?” Maybe you have a mentor or friend that will say these words to you. Do you need this kind of motivation to take action?

While I believe that you can actually talk yourself through doing what you never thought possible before, I actually know this as I've seen it happen many times with people that have worked with me and for me. I believe that in order to be successful you have to first understand what goes into your desired outcome before making the actual statement “you can do it if you believe you can.”

There are always at least three components to successfully doing anything with the first being just getting started, but you also have to put the ingredients into the process and then wrap it all up and finish what you started.

Some people have the hardest time just getting started, but have a good idea how to put the ingredients together and then finish with little effort.

Other people start easily, but get lost when they try to figure out what ingredients are and either fail at this point, or struggle to get the ingredients together, only to finish strong.

The last group of people start easily, put an enormous amount of ingredients together, in fact, so much so that they keep adding looking to perfect the process and never end as they are never satisfied with what they have. They don't know how to finish.

Our desire to succeed is dependent upon knowing what strengths and weaknesses we have. If we are able to identify those ahead of time, we can quickly figure out how to overcome them and move forward.

Remember, “You can do it if you believe you can!”
