The last Post in This Blog – A New Beginning

The last post in this blog was over a year ago, but that is about to change. It’s time to see if I can get it going again after having over a million views recorded. Could I double the views this year?

This blog would have maintained substantial traffic if I hadn’t deleted the Shark Tank posts, but I did, having moved them over to SharkTankBlog, which was a huge mistake. Someone else is profiting from my work, but I’ll leave it at that and focus on building new content for this blog.

Learning About Affiliate Marketing

The good news is that building this blog taught me a lot about affiliate marketing, which I did well for several years.

Can I get this blog going again and, at the same time, build out my new passion, building content on YouTube?

The key to building a blog is finding your niche content, which I am doing with my YouTube channel. I am documenting my experience as I learn how to create videos, which will allow me to look back on my progress.

At one point, I used Schema markup to signal to Google search, which worked awesomely, having my posts indexed in Google almost immediately. I wonder if Schema still works that well.

Minimal Time Focusing on SEO with this Post

I’m not going to spend a lot of time trying to SEO this blog; instead, I am simply using the daily blog as a tracking mechanism to record notes and what I am learning and add links that I can use when needed. If traffic picks up, great, but if not, I will use the posts as a source to document my progress.

I’m working on a  Niche Finder YouTube course by Think Media, a company that has over 1,900 YouTube videos on its main channel, with millions of subscribers. Their content is so appealing that I signed up for their VRA Program and Elite Training.

I already have my niche areas picked out, but I am doing the Niche Finder workshop to ensure I pick up on anything I’m unaware of and think differently.

Can I do this blog and my YouTube channel at the same time? I think so because I should be able to use the same content on both platforms, first writing the post here and then taking it over to YouTube as my outline for each video created.

New Blog Posts in Long Form Content

The good news is that most of my blog posts will be long-form content. I have a lot to write about each day, writing about each day’s progress.

Interestingly, we are using similar tools to search out our content for a niche. This makes sense as some people will search text, and others will search videos. I’ve stuck with text until the last six months when I started researching how to create a video channel.

In summary, my goal with the video is to focus on personal transformation and addressing Gender Identity issues as I have extensive experience, but that doesn’t mean they will be my only channels.

The other option is to blog/vlog on estate and garage sales. I have enough inventory to document using eBay, Estate Sales, and Facebook Marketplace on the flip. The question is, “Do I have enough bandwidth to do both?”

The good news is I already have the inventory to document items of interest.
