Liz Lovely Cookies Shark Tank Pitch nearly nets Mark Cuban but no deal

Liz Lovely Cookies - Shark Tank

Liz Lovely Cookies Shark Tank Pitch

Dan and Liz Holtz are the founders of Liz Lovely Cookies, a Gluten Free Cookie maker. They lost their retail stores in a major storm three days before it was supposed to open.

They were out of work a couple of years after the dot com crash. Liz filled her freezer with cookies for friends and family, and they wanted more than she had. They loved them so they started over and built a brand around her trade secret recipes that are gluten free and vegan.

The difference between their Cowgirl Cookie and Cowboy cookie are nuts. the Cowboy cookie has nuts!

Mark Cuban is interested because many athletes are eating Gluten Free, and this makes him interested.

They make about 10% on a million dollars in sales today, but they are no where near scale in terms of profitability on maximizing overhead. Their cookies has a shelf-life of 30 days outside of freezer. Two cookies retail are $3.99-4.99.

Dan and Liz are the most relentless people you will ever meet. They had to deal with not being able to pay a loan so they got really creative and built an eCommerce site to keep going, and pay their loan.
