The company is in 220 locations, including Whole Foods. Leah's daughter wanted to bake cookies so, she went to the store and came home with all the ingredients. She ended up with a ton of waste which led to putting a kit together with precise measurements, allowing for the perfect cookie. Now, there is no wasted product.
Sales since inception fourteen months previous are $54,000. The had a lot of production problems, and still hand-label each bag. They sell retail between $7-12. All in cost is $3.89.
Their cost will go down to $2.15 with the right equipment.
Lori suggests that the cost could go down considerably if it were all in one bag. She thinks they should place each ingredient layered in one container.
Leah responds that baking from scratch is better, and is part of the process. She says the tiers make it way better.

- Barbara Corcoran thought you were talking about scratching with the name of the business. It should be “from scratch.” Barbara wishes they would ask for $50,000 instead of $150,000 because it is way too much to take a risk. Barbara comes back in and offers $150,000 as a line of credit for 20%. They do the deal.
- Kevin O'Leary believes unless they get the production down to $1.70 they will be going out of business. He tells them good luck; he is out.
