Financial Peace University (FPU) and The Total Money Makeover are programs created by Dave Ramsey, a Christian talk show host who has helped countless people get out of debt and stay free from it.
I’ve listened to Dave for years. His process is simple, biblical, and effective — but like with anything, the results only come when you apply all the principles consistently. You have to work the plan for it to work in your life.
This fall, my church (Antioch Christian Church) will be offering FPU, and I plan to be part of it. Honestly, I wish it started sooner. I’m excited to take steps toward lasting change and to strengthen my stewardship of what God has entrusted to me.
When we’re young, we often set out to conquer the world. But over time, many of us shift into survival mode. We accept limitations instead of striving toward what’s possible. God doesn’t call us to live limited, fearful lives. He calls us to be faithful stewards of His blessings, using them not only for ourselves but to serve others.
FPU is built on biblical wisdom — a foundation on the Rock. It’s a plan that reminds us to “live like no one else, so later you can live (and give) like no one else.”
Living out these principles won’t be easy. The Total Money Makeover challenges us to sacrifice, change habits, and trust God with our finances. But I’m ready to rise to that challenge and become a better steward. My hope is to live as an example of what God can do when we obey His principles.
Scripture for Today
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.” – Psalm 24:1 (NLT)
Prayer
Lord, thank You for entrusting me with the resources You’ve given. Help me to honor You with my finances, to live wisely, and to be generous toward others. Give me the discipline to follow through, and let my stewardship bring glory to You. Amen.
