Feeling the Holy Spirit at Work

Feeling the Holy Spirit

Scripture:
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth…” – John 14:16–17

Reflection:
There is no greater power than sensing the Holy Spirit at work within you. It is not our own strength, but God Himself moving through us, drawing us closer to Christ.

In the beginning, His presence can feel overwhelming, even breathtaking. I remember during my first Rooted class, I was so aware of the Spirit moving in me. Over time, that intensity felt less noticeable—not because He left, but because His presence was becoming part of my daily walk. What once felt extraordinary was becoming steady and constant.

At times, we may mistake that consistency for absence, but He is always there. Today, I feel Him just as strongly, reminding me that growth comes in seasons. I will never be perfect, but every step closer to Christ is evidence of His work in me.

I also see the Spirit at work in others—teaching, convicting, softening hearts, and shaping lives. Often, their example reveals my own weaknesses, showing me where I need more compassion or humility. Through them, I am reminded that the Spirit not only strengthens me but uses others to shape me into Christ’s likeness.

The beauty of life in Christ is that the Holy Spirit unites us. He empowers us, comforts us, convicts us, and equips us to bless others. No matter where we are in our journey—new believer, seasoned follower, or even searching—His presence is available.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Spirit. Help me to be sensitive to His leading, to recognize His work in my life and in others, and to walk in step with Him each day. May my words and actions reflect Your love, and may I never forget that You are with me always. Amen.
