Tru and Cory are Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup connoisseurs so, they opened up their first Tom and Chee restaurant in 2009. People loved the place so much that they decided to add several more stores, and even franchised a location in Louisville, Kentucky. Now, they want to expand Tom and Chee again, which is why they are pitching in Shark Tank Season 4.
The two Tom and Chee corporate stores grossed one and a half million dollars in the previous year with a constant line waiting to get to their grilled cheese and tomato soup delicacy.

- Deal: Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran for $600,000 in exchange for 30% equity in the business. Mark has franchise rights for Texas excluding Dallas that already has a franchisee, and Barbara gets New York.
What do the Shark Tank Investors say about Tom and Chee?
- Mark Cuban – is the last Shark waiting to see if he will come in on the deal. He tells Barbara he will do the other half of the deal, but does not want to be in with Robert and Kevin on this deal. He wants franchise rights for Texas.
- Daymond John – doesn't feel the appetite for grilled cheese and tomato soup, he is out.
- Kevin O'Leary – will offer up $100,000 as part of the investment.
- Barbara Corcoran – offers $300,000 for fifteen percent equity providing someone else will come in for the other half. Barbara adds that she wants franchise rights for New York after Mark Cuban claims franchise rights to Texas.
- Robert Herjavec – also comes in offering $100,000 towards the deal.
Tom and Chee after Shark Tank
Too bad Tom and Chee's deal with Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban fell apart after Shark Tank. The restaurant chain scored big soon after the show, but sales tanked and the stores started closing. The company is acquired by Gold Star Chili, which is revamping and shrinking the store locations.
