How to Rank in Search Engines

Here’s how you can get ranked in the major search engines with your site as fast as the minute you do your post. It’s not as hard as you might think; it just takes the right tools and commitment to building your brand online.

When I finally started seeing results, I realized I had been making the entire process much more difficult than it needed to be, but wasn’t putting in the right effort in the right place.

I’ve been able to get a single post to have as many as 10,000 unique visitors in a few hours, and that was after receiving thousands of additional visits to the post for months before the spike in traffic. That turns into revenue and gives great information to my readers.

Before I go further, let me tell you that I’m not a search engine guru. I don’t know how to game the system. I just do what the search engines ask us to do and provide quality content on a regular basis.

Most of my traffic comes from long tail keywords, which are a phrase that has three to five words. The more content I have out there, the more likely I am to see traffic go up.

I think about all the different ways people could search for the terms I am targeting and then write towards what they are thinking. I want them to be able to find my content as easily as possible.

When you have your list done, ask your friends what they would search for and write to target their style as well.

There are a few factors that go into a strong strategy and the first is consistency. If you write every day the search engines will visit to see what’s new every day. They might even include your content the minute you hit submit. If you’re sporadic, the search engines won’t visit as often and it will take longer to build your traffic.

The next factor is having the right tools. Investing into a great WordPress template like Studio Press Genesis and using an SEO Optimizer like ScribeSEO can have a major impact on your success
