Gladiator Lacrosse Shark Tank Pitch

Rachel Zietz is the creator of Gladiator Lacrosse a company that is focused on providing quality equipment for home training use. She is a high schooler who designed and created her own equipment that is high quality, and yet affordable. She is fifteen at the time of her Shark Tank pitch.

Rachel's parents are both entrepreneurs and she attended the Young Entrepreneurs Academy. Her parents loaned her $30,000 of which is paid back, and she has $300,00 in sales since January of 2014. She sells on her website, Amazon and at competitions.

Rachel is not only the owner, but a client of her company. She estimates the industry is $100 million, and she hopes to dominate the industry.  Cost to make Gladiator Lacrosse equipment runs $66 for the rebounder, which retails for $249.95. She says she has excellent time management skills. She also has a college student that works for her.

Rachel is working to increase her online presence and distribution, as well as adding to the product line. She is the head, and the visionary while hiring additional people to fulfill the roles.

Rachel has an awesome business and is doing a great job. She doesn't need the Sharks, but I am surprised that they did not get in on her deal.

Well, like a lot of businesses, even Rachel is subject to threats of litigation. She is suing a competitor company who claims patent infringement. Guard Lacrosse Company is sending “Bullying” letters to Rachel and her Gladiator Lacrosse business. Rachel is asking for a judgement saying her product does not infringe on their patent.
