Even though I’m not an SEO guru, I’ve been able to substantially increase my search engine traffic from a few creative posts. I’ve made posts that have drawn as much as 2,000 visitors to the specific post over a few hours.
Ironically, those high traffic posts aren’t that hard to create even though I don’t do paid advertising, in fact, I solely focus on creating articles about what I’m interested in.
You might think I’ve engaged in a link building campaign, I haven’t. I should but I haven’t.
What about social networking? Is that the major driver? Nope, it’s not.
The one thing that drives the most traffic is search engines. For some reason my posts have been getting indexed in search engines and in good positions. Now, super popular topics don’t do as well but I’ve found the right medium to drive an incredible amount of traffic to my site within days.
I’m not some big Search Engine Optimization guru. I really don’t know much about it. I tried, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my life trying to game the search engines.
Even though I know nothing to very little about SEO or search engine optimization, the blog setup I have seems to be ideal for hitting the mark.
I’m using Genesis by Studio Press for the themes that lay over WordPress and then I have ScribeSEO plugged in. Those two tools alone are responsible for getting my posts in the right place at the right time.
I simply follow their advice and optimize my posts to meet the suggestions that are made in these tools and wham, I’m in the Search Engines sometimes, instantly!
I owe my decision to be a professional blogger to these two tools. They have helped launch me into the place I need to be to make my business go.
