Nearly Newlywed Bridal Boutique is an online shop that sells designer bridal gowns at discount prices. Jackie Courtney pitches her company in Shark Tank Season 4.
Nearly Newlywed just launched
Designer wedding dresses are expensive, and Jackie found a way to offer them through Nearly Newlywed at a fraction of the price. Her company will even buy back the bridal gown after the bride has her wedding for half of the original purchase price.
Jackie Courtney launched Nearly Newlywed when she tried to find a dress for her wedding in New York City where she now lives. Originally from Iowa, Jackie fell in love with the fashion industry which is why she made a move.
Nearly Newlywed does have competitors that rent dresses. Unfortunately, brides are not allowed to alter a rental dress. Brides can alter the dresses from Nearly Newlywed, and then sell them back.
Jackie tells the Sharks she hasn’t been in business that long, however, they are experiencing excellent growth. They started with 30 dresses and had tripled the inventory. They get their inventory on consignment and do not pay for it until Nearly Newlywed sells the dresses.

Nearly Newlywed after Shark Tank
Nearly Newlywed went into Shark Tank almost immediately after inception, and that is a huge reason why Jackie did not get a reasonable deal on Shark Tank. But, She continues to do well with her business, partnering with one of the big names in the wedding industry.
