The Last Lid Shark Tank Pitch
The Last Lid is an expandable garbage can lid that seals any can and doesn’t blow away in the wind. Kevin and Melissa fight having garbage all over the place. They investigated what was going on and waited to see that raccoons caused their messy garbage.
Kevin and Melissa came up with a solution to the pests, The Last Lid. Their garbage can lids always seem to disappear. Kevin thought he could buy a replacement lid for his garbage can. They want you to buy the garbage can, and he only wanted a lid.
The Last Lid is a fabric replacement for most sized garbage cans. It has a velcro strap for added security along with a metal clasp to keep your lid on the can.
Kevin videotaped his competition, and kept making adjustments to get material that raccoons can’t get off. They have a prototype, and it is patent pending. Kevin thinks that their company is worth more than what they are asking from the Sharks.
Melissa says that the lid is machine washable, and Robert counters, do I want to wash my garbage can lid in the washer?

What do the Shark Tank Investors say about The Last Lid?
- Mark Cuban – says it is a given that garbage cans are everywhere, and you haven’t given the costs and what it will sell at. Mark has the same issues as Kevin, but he thinks it is a good product that will be a slow build. He is out.
- Daymond John – lost his garbage can lid and is hunting for it, so he feels the pain. He thinks the numbers are staggering, but Kevin raises the equity in the company with one shot from Daymond. They offers 60% of the company and Daymond says deal.
- Kevin O’Leary – doesn’t like the numbers, saying there is not enough margin. He is out.
- Lori Greiner – loves their passion, and she thinks this is a zero. She is out.
- Robert Herjavec – is out because it is a fabric lid, and he doesn’t see the utility.
The Last Lid after Shark Tank
The Last Lid is no more, probably because of the design of garbage cans in most cities today. The trucks are now automated and have the lid attached.
