Entrepreneurs are Tenacious People

Entrepreneurs are tenacious people, they don’t take no for an answer, they keep coming back for more over and over. When you look up tenacity, you should see a picture of me in the dictionary. I keep coming back for more.

When I was just out of high school I started my first limousine company. The banker told me I couldn’t get a loan, the insurance man told me I couldn’t get insurance, both said I was too young.

I got a loan and I got insurance, at just 19 years old I was probably the youngest owner of a limousine service in the country, let alone the world. Still, I didn’t have the experience necessary and I failed with that business. In fact, I failed multiple times starting a limousine service in my home town.

Still, I loved the cars and I wanted to be in the business. The Internet was in its infancy, and I picked up a computer on a Friday night connecting up through America Online. I started building my very first website immediately, a site all about limousine services. I began by building an online database of limousine companies, selling advertising to services wanting to get rid of their limousines.

I even connected with one of the industry trade journals and build a website for the magazine as well as for the largest parts manufacturer as I learned all about the technical part of the online world. In 1995, I had built the first online commerce site for the limousine industry.

That sight turned into a multimillion dollar network, one of the largest in the world. The company employes hundreds and is an important part of the community.

Even though I had tried and failed at building a limousine service, I launched the platform for what is now one of the most successful limousine networks int he world.

All because I was a tenacious Entrepreneur that wouldn’t take no for an answer. Are you tenacious enough to be an Entrepreneur?
