Virtuix Omni Virtual Reality Treadmill misses Shark Tank deal but

The Virtuix Omni is a virtual reality platform that allows you to be truly part of a video game on an omni directional treadmill. There are no moving parts, and you wear special shoes on the Virtuix Omni.

The Virtuix Omni can be played on any game and lets you walk, run, jump, and crouch with the virtual reality headset that puts you in the game.

They use the Oculus Rift Glasses in the demonstration. Their is a body strap that holds you on the Virtuix Omni. They sell for $499 and have sold $1.1 million worth through KickStarter.

Daymond asks if guys that play games will use this because most are plus sized.

The headset and the gun is not included in the price of the Virtuix Omni.  The Rift is selling 200 a day.

  • Mark Cuban – gets what he is doing and can see the sales with it, but he is competing for consumer dollars and he doesn't see the future vision for their products so he is out.
  • Daymond John – doesn't think people will buy it because it will wear them out to use this product. He is out.
  • Kevin O'Leary – sees where they are going, but he does not think it is a good deal at twenty million dollars. The company is overvalued. He is out. Kevin says it is very interesting but they overpriced it.

It turns out that Mark Cuban ends up investing in Virtuix Omni after all when the company raised $3 million. His investment company, Radical Investments made the deal.

It does appear the company is totally a commercial driven platform and is no longer marketing to the retail consumer market.

Yourself Expressions has $365,000 in sales in the last year, and $250,000 since introducing their website. They have great margins and they anticipate $80,000 in net profit on $250,000. They are seeking a Shark to get into the souvenir industry.

  • Barbara Corcoran – talks about all the variations that Villy Custom's having all the options, and she sees that as a potential problem. She is out.

The company is selling in over 400 stores and on Carnival and Norwegian cruise lines. They made the decision to change the name of the company from Yourself Expressions to Gracie Rose, a smart move as the brand better represents the products. Too bad they didn't have the name change done before entering Shark Tank.

Squatty Potty helps you take care of your business in while sitting on the toilet stool. The product puts you in optimal position for bowl movements. This devise places you in a relaxed position where your muscles completely relax allowing all the waste to exit from your body.

Squatty Potty puts you in a squat position, and gives you the relief that you need for a complete bowl movement.

The company is in business for three years before entering the Shark Tank. They sold $1 million first year, second year sales are $2.7 million and $2 million in the first two quarters of year three. Squatty Potty is only selling online at the time of the Shark Tank pitch.

They have a design patent and patent pending on other products. The product is $25, and costs them $4.50 to make in the United States. The question is, what do they need the money for?

They want to make this FDA compliant as a real medical product.

Their sales come at Christmas. They have to educate customers, and they advertise on Howard Stern.

  • Mark Cuban – thinks they are talking out of both sides of their mouth. He thinks they need a value assigned and would not argue about 5%. He is out.
  • Barbara Corcoran – is more nervous as she listens. She is out.
  • Kevin O'Leary – says this is the first crappy investment that he likes. Kevin offers $350,000 for 10% equity.
  • Lori Greiner – likes it, but to Kevin's point, 5% is a nothing-burger. She says she needs at least 10% and she does not want to give $700,000. They counter at $500,000 for 10% and Lori doesn't accept it.
  • Robert Herjavec – says kudos to them as he never thought they would have that kind of revenue. He just doesn't see it. He is out.

Pipcorn from Pipsnacks is a special variety of corn that changes Jennifer's world. Pipcorn is smaller and more delicate than normal popcorn. They have seasalt, rosemary, Kettle and truffle. All their products are vegan and non GMO.

They are close to signing a total exclusive for the corn. Jeff and Jenn sold $200,000 the previous year, and sells for $4.99 and the cost is $1.88. Pipcorn is a part of Oprah's favorite thing. They are going to get cost down to $.99 with their new co-packer.

Pipcorn is easier to digest, and is much higher in fiber, allowing people with dietary issues are more likely to be able to eat this product.

  • Mark Cuban – did not make an offer.
  • Barbara Corcoran – thinks they are overreaching and she believes they are winners and she offers $200,000 for 10% with one contingency that she gets equal draw with them.
  • Kevin O'Leary – says there is nothing proprietary about the seed, could he find someone who would come work for him? He says they will not get $200,000 for 10% from anyone. Kevin is out.

  • Robert Herjavec – offers $200,000 for 20%, they say the number is low for them, and they come back at the original offer at 10%. Robert thinks it is ridiculous that they are overvaluing, but he believes they are going to kill it and he matches Barbara's offer without the necessity of the draw.

Storm Stoppers has a handle to make it easily removable. the panel is easily removable from the inside should your home catch on fire. the product is five times more expensive than using plywood, but plywood is not a reusable product.

The product is tied to the economy and the weather. John has five and a half million sales in the last ten years. The previous six months is $200,000.

John Smith might not be the best spokesperson for a really great product. At one point, he made public an endorsement deal via a press release, including the amount he is willing to pay for the endorsement to Tim Tebow's agent. He got no response as of the PR release. Why would you announce your entire deal to the general public? The non-response doesn't help the image of the company.

In a way, I could see John Smith and James Mitchell(PureAyre) being related in that they have similar personalities that rubbed the Sharks wrong.

Bryan White claims that our garages are not locked, and we need Garage Door Lock to protect our property and keep thieves from getting in.

Kevin wants to know why the garage door company doesn't just install the same type of lock system.

They have sold 459 for $249.95 coming to about $112,000.  The biggest problem he has is educating the marketplace. He did a video in 2010, but has not done any follow up with another video.

He invested $250,000 plus the patent investment to get the product started.

  • Mark Cuban – doesn't think anyone disagrees with the marketplace, but he doesn't have a salesperson in place so he is out.
  • Daymond John – makes him an offer as a Kevin O'Leary play. He wants to put this in his licensing division. He will give $275,000 for 40% contingent upon finding a license. Bryan countered at 35% and Daymond says deal.
  • Kevin O'Leary – says he will buy one from him, but the opportunity is not evident. He is missing so much, Kevin is out.
  • Barbara Corcoran – tells Bryan he is missing an entrepreneur in his business. He is an inventor, not an entrepreneur. She is out. The business is worthless until the product is sold.
  • Robert Herjavec – offers $275,000 for 70% and he absolutely no doubt he can put them in front of the right people.

The Garage Door Lock system was too expensive to produce as is, so they found a new company to reengineer the lock and reduce costs. Daymond John proved key to getting this done with Guardian.
